Healthy Chef

Occupying the premier position on the sunny northern exposed corner of Edmund Hock Lane this cafe hits the target in every respect (except for a wonky table).
A large range of healthy but beaut dishes. Friendly staff and nice layout. Comfy tables inside are usually a premium, but the outside tables are better on a sunny Avalon day with a Noreaster blowing.

Bacon and Egg Panini. Always a winner, comes on a crusty bread roll, the bacon could be crispier (couldn't it always!) but this is great even when you don't have a hangover.
Burcher muselli with poached pears and Greek yoghurt. The healthy alternative to ... most things, had to have something healthy after that Bacon and Egg job. Why is the yoghurt always Greek, they seem to have cornered the market.
Coffee is spot-on but sadly the table was like the ski slope at Smiggins and you had to carefully arrange the friction resistant materials to avoid an avalanche.

Rating: Toyota Prius
Cost: $28

Update: to help shift some of the caffine starved addicts out of the shop they have opened a coffee cart out in the back lane.
